Notice of Meeting of WIP Executive Board and Council Meetings
Bylaws of the World Institute of Pain
Dear WIP Executive Board and WIP Council Members,
We are delighted to announce that the preparations for the 9th World Congress of the World Institute of Pain (WIP) taking place May 9-12, 2018 in Dublin, Ireland are progressing wonderfully. The Scientific program is exciting, innovative and promises that this Congress will be yet another resounding success for WIP!
We appreciate all the help that you, as the leaders of our society, are giving in order to publicize the WIP 2018 Congress and actively recruit participants from your region.
By this letter, you are officially invited to attend the appropriate meeting(s) of the WIP Executive Board (ExB) and Council. If you serve on the Board of Examination or/and the Editorial Board, during the break between the ExB and Council meetings time will be allocated these subject board meetings.
Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the Marker Hotel (Agenda and precise meeting location to be announced)
08:00-16:00 HRS Executive Board Meeting
16:00-18:00 HRS Board of Examination Meeting / Editorial Board Meeting
18:00-22:00 HRS WIP Council Meeting
Additionally, we will be scheduling times for members of each WIP Section to attend a Section meeting while in Dublin. WIP Section Chairs will receive a separate communication about these meetings.
Letters with registration and details concerning travel and lodging will be sent to you by Ms. Stephanie Orzceh of our Congress office. If you do not receive your letter, please contact her via email as reflected below, or contact Ms. Dianne Willard of WIP.
WIP offers a modest travel allowance for members of the Executive Board and WIP Council, as well as complimentary registration to the Congress. This allowance and complimentary registration does not extend to the members of the Board of Examination or Editorial Board. Most members of these boards have another role that may qualify him/her for the allowance. Otherwise, it is our hope that ALL members of various Boards and Committees of WIP will be supportive of our society and Congress through registration and participation.
Looking forward to seeing you in Dublin!
Craig T. Hartrick, MD, FIPP
